Wood-Burning Stove

So we decided that we wanted to get a wood-burning stove.  These are pictures of some of what we went through to put one in our house.
First we had to clean out our chimney.

It was a messy job!

Then we had to re-mortar the bricks for the chimney--they were really just stacked on top of each other.  We also had to add more bricks.  (And by WE, I really mean Nick!)
The boys were a great help cleaning up the bricks for us to use.

Then we had to put the chimney liner into the chimney.

Nick had the job of actually putting it in!  And look at the great job he did with the bricks!

Adrian was a great help in building the hearth.
Didn't Adrian do a beautiful job?  Here we were checking out how the stove would look.  Isn't it cute?

Nick cutting the tile.

Kat laying the tile.

Not bad for a first-timer, wouldn't you say?

FIRE!!!!!
